The Experience

You push past the gate and the red rock broadens, the desert air already warm against your face. Slickrock rises like low waves and sandy washes split the landscape; the machines hum and the guide briefs the group while the horizon pulls focus toward distant mesas. The ride paints the landscape in motion — gullies dare you to keep pace and sandstone ridgelines push you toward the next viewpoint.

Before You Go

Hydration and sun protection

Summer heat can spike quickly — carry water, wear sunscreen and use a brimmed hat under your helmet to reduce sun exposure.

Arrive early for check-in

Be at the meeting point 30 minutes before departure to get fitted for helmet and gear; the stated 4-hour tour includes riding time but plan on 4.5 hours total.

Footwear and grip

Closed-toe, grippy shoes or light hiking boots improve control when mounting and dismounting vehicles and walking over uneven ground.
