The Experience

You push off from the Moab Tourism Center and the red slickrock opens beneath your tires — a wide, sun-baked ramp of petrified sand that tips and folds toward the horizon. Wind scours the domes and gutters; the guide’s voice cuts the quiet with practical directions as your group threads between steep climbs and broad bowls.

Before You Go

Bring sun protection

Summer sun on exposed slickrock is intense — use SPF, a wide-brim hat, and UV-blocking eyewear.

Yes — this is a U-drive tour: your guide leads in a machine and you’ll follow in a second vehicle; guides will take over for technical obstacles like Hell’s Gate.

How many people fit per vehicle?

The tour uses two UTVs: the guide machine seats up to three passengers and the customer vehicle seats up to four; the tour can accommodate up to seven people total.

Is this safe for children?
