The Experience

A cold morning in the Budhi Gandaki valley wakes with prayer flags snapping and a river daring you onward—white water threading the gorge as packhorses pick their way across slate paths. The Manaslu Circuit begins low, at Soti Khola (≈700m), and climbs through subtropical riverbeds, fir forests and high yak pastures before topping Larkya La at 5,160m. Before You Go

Acclimatize, don’t rush
