Below, Hikkim and Kaza sit like slow moving towns in a valley carved by ice and time.

Before You Go

Acclimatize before riding

Spend at least a night in Kaza or nearby to reduce altitude sickness risk—don’t push hard on the first day.

Hydration and sun protection

High altitude increases dehydration and UV exposure; carry 2–3L water and a high‑SPF sunscreen.
